Theft from vehicle incidents probed

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating two theft from vehicle incidents.

Troopers said Thomas Michael George, 48, of MarLin, reported someone removed personal papers from his vehicle, a 1991 Buick LeSabre, while parked at 306 Spruce St., Norwegian Township. The papers include an expired state driver's license, a Social Security card, and state fishing license, all in George's name. Also taken was a Cabela's credit card.

The theft occurred sometime between midnight on July 1 and 7 a.m. on July 2.

Michael T. Turnitsa, 27, of MarLin, reported his 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier was entered while parked in front of his home at at 312 Beechwood Avenue, Norwegian Township. Removed was about $3 in U.S. currency. The incident occurred sometime between 3 and 6 a.m. on July 2.
