Golden Agers

The Panther Valley Golden Agers met on June 25 at St. John's Slovak Lutheran Church Hall. The meeting began with the singing of God Bless America and the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance. Fran Hager recited a prayer for Independence Day. President Ronnie Bazik conducted the meeting.

Members sang "Happy Birthday" for 15 individuals celebrating birthdays over the past six moths. Jenny Snyder was the winner of the monetary gift.

Ruth Ann Fean led the group singing patriotic songs.

The hospitality committee for July and August are Vice President Shirley Pavlick, Fran Hager and Verna Lazorchik. A suggestion was made to reorganize the chorus and to possibly visit nursing homes in the future.

The next meeting will be held on July 9 at 1 p.m. at St. John's Slovak Lutheran Social Hall in Lansford.


Tax office closed

The tax collection office of Patricia Vito will be closed from July 7-14.
