Ryan's Oil & Heating knocked Schick's Cafe Calcutta from the ranks of the unbeaten to highlight this week's action in the Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission (ESRC) summer basketball league.

Nemesis Enforcers-Cuz-N-Joe's PlaceIn the night's biggest upset, Nemesis Enforcers secured their first win of the season with a 64-54 victory over Cuz-N-Joe's Place.Colin Nurse scored 17 points, while Nate Youst tacked on 12 points to lead Nemesis Enforcers.Christian Laputka had a game-high 31 points for Cuz-N-Joe's Place.Jimmy's O's Chicks-Ryan's Oil & HeatingIt wasn't easy, but Ryan's Oil & Heating rallied late in regulation to force overtime and held on for an 84-73 overtime victory over Jimmy O's Chicks.Jon Scheuer had 30 points to pace Ryan's, while Jeff Peel regained his confidence by scoring 28 points in addition to seven three-pointers .Joe Conley's 20 points led Jimmy's O's Chicks.Guerrilla Squad-American HoseGuerrilla Squad pulled away with a 50-40 victory over American Hose.Dave Wilson caught fire for 19 points with Derrick McFarland adding 11 of his own in the Guerrilla Squad victory.Mike Taylor had 11 points for American Hose.The Batter's Box-Schick's Cafe CalcuttaSchick's Cafe Calcutta improved to 5-0 with a 48-32 victory over The Batter's Box.Tony Gomez drained four three-pointers and scored 14 points, while Chris Decker added 10 points to lead Schick's.Brock Mitchell tallied 11 points to pace The Batter's Box.Cuz-N-Joe's Place-R.R. Frey ServicesIn a game featuring playoff contenders, R.R. Frey Services came out on top with a 50-38 win over Cuz-N-Joe's Place.Danny Miller had 17 points for R.R. Frey's, while Jim Barron tossed in 15 points.Christian Laputka had 10 points for Cuz-N-Joe's Place in the losing effort.Jimmy's O's Chicks-Lucky's DeliJimmy's O's Chick's broke into the win column with a 69-60 win over Lucky's Deli.Shenandoah Valley boy's basketball coach Rob Miller had 23 points and six three-pointers to lead Jimmy O's.
