Two facing drug counts in Monroe

Two persons are facing drug counts following an incident in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said at 12:52 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, officers on patrol at the Gouldsboro Travel Plaza, located at the intersection of routes 435 and 507, in Coolbaugh Township, observed a suspicious vehicle with two occupants parked in the lot. The officers made contact with the two, who were identified as Kyle Rosen, 19, of Spring Brook Township, and Kyle Dileo, 19, of Scranton, both of Lackawanna County.

Police said they detected a very strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. A further investigation revealed that Rosen and Dileo were in possession of a small amount of marijuana and three pipes used in smoking the drug.

Police said the two were cited for possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
