State police at the Fogelsville arrested two persons for shoplifting after separate incidents at stores in Lehigh County.

Police said Michele L. Hock, 29, of Orefield, was charged with retail theft after an incident that happened between Dec. 30 of last year and Jan. 9 at Kohl's department store in Lower Macungie Township. Police said she entered the store and took various retail items, valuing $612.58, and later returned them to customer service without a receipt.

In the other incident, Jonathan A. Perez, 26, of Harrisburg, was charged with retail theft after he cut open three DVD cases at the Wal-Mart Store in Lower Macungie Township and removed the discs from them. He was caught attempting to leave the store with the discs concealed on him.

Police said the arrest was Perez's second one for retail theft, which elevates the latest charge to a misdemeanor-2 offense. That incident took place at 8:30 p.m. Jan. 17.
