One person was hurt in a two-vehicle mishap at 5:49 p.m. Jan. 16 on Route 940 near Pocono Lake.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said Terry Webster, 65, of Pocono Lake, was the injured person. He was transported to the Pocono medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment of his injuries. Police also said he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and a blood test was administered to him at the hospital. Police said charges of driving under the influence of alcohol are pending.

Police said Webster was driving a vehicle westbound on Rt. 940 when it "rear-ended" a vehicle operated by Christopher Nicks-Vanlouvender, 24, also of Pocono Lake. He was westbound at the time and had slowed down in an attempt to turn onto Lake Lane.

Police said Webster's vehicle sustained heavy front-end damages and was towed from the scene.
