Tasha C. McMurray, 24, of Tobyhanna, who police said was unable to pay for a cab ride she asked for, has been cited by Pocono Mountain Regional Police for theft of services.

Police said she called Mountain Taxi to request a ride to her residence and upon arrival there told the cab driver she did not have the money to pay the fare.

The incident happened at 5:50 a.m. Jan. 14 in Pocono Country Place, Tobyhanna.

In another report involving McMurray, police said they arrested her for possession of drugs earlier the same day. Police said they arrived at the administration building of Pocono Country Place for the purpose of serving a subpoena to a security officer, at which time McMurray was checking in to the facility.

Police said they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the woman, who denied having possession of the drugs. Police said they observed her removing a large bag of marijuana from her underwear and hiding it in a decorative plant.
