Monroe man charged, placed in prison

A Monroe County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred on Friday, Jan. 13.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said about 3:06 a.m. they were called to the Leach residence at 339 Clearview Drive, in the Emerald Lakes development in Tobyhanna Township. A female at the residence said Joseph Leach, 26, of Long Pond, was at the home and had assaulted another member of the family and left the residence.

While on scene Leach returned to the residence. He was injured as he had fallen. He was taken into custody and charged with public drunkenness and harassment. He was placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment, police said.
