One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Jan. 11 at 6:27 p.m. on Route 309 in Lynn Township.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said Meridith L. McCarthy, 32, of Springtown, Pa., who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, by the Northwestern EMS corps.

Police said she was a passenger in a 2007 Honda Accord that was operated northbound on Route 309 by Joshua Bennicoff, 29, of New Tripoli. Police said at the same time, a 1998 Ford Expedition driven by Donald M. Reppert, 61, of Kempton, was southbound.

Police said the vehicles were in the area of Weiss Road and as the Accord approached the Expedition, Bennicoff pulled his emergency brake causing the vehicle to slide into the southbound lane where it was struck by the Expedition.

Police said neither driver was hurt.

Bennicoff is expected to be cited as a result of the crash.
