January 12, 1962 George Armbruster scores nine first quarter points to help Jim Thorpe jump out to an early lead, and the Olympians go on to post a 65-49 Black Diamond League win over Summit Hill. Armbruster finishes the contest with a game-high 28 points while Paul Hydro tallies 12. The winners, coached by Kenny Kline, also receive nine points from Jack Morgan.
