Published January 11. 2012 05:01PM

A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI).

State police at Schuylkill Haven said William J. Kling Jr., 24, of Tremont, was stopped while operating a 1995 Dodge Ram about 1:40 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, along SR125 at Middle Creek Road, in Frailey Township, during the course of an unrelated investigation. At the time troopers were involved in a probe of a vehicle pursuit that occurred earlier.

Kling was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then placed under arrest and transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for a blood test.

The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers added.
