Theft of diamond ring being probed

Rush Township police are investigating two theft incidents reported to them on Dec. 30.

A diamond ring, valued at $5,000, was reportedly stolen from a resident at the Hometown Nursing Center.

Kristen Kester, of Mahanoy City, reported the theft of her Vera Bradley wristlet purse. The small bag, containing several credit cards, was removed from a shopping cart at the Hometown Commons Walmart.
