Driver in Monroe crash facing DUI

A driver involved in a one-vehicle crash in Monroe County is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI).

Pocono Mountain Regional police said about 1:05 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, they were dispatched to a reported crash along SR115 at Mathews Drive, in Tunkhannock Township, with possible entrapment.

Police said the driver was identified as Ethan Janus, 33, of Blakeslee. Through an investigation police learned that Janus was traveling southbound when his vehicle crossed the center line, left the road, and flipped onto its side.

Janus was suspected of being under the influence and was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, police said.
