Pleasant Valley students do well in competition

East Stroudsburg University recently hosted the Future Business Leaders of America Regional Leadership Conference.

Pleasant Valley High School students garnered several wins after taking part in 21 business-related tests and were awarded for their hard work.

At the conference there were performance events, a key note speaker, a speaker from the American Heart Association, and a buffet lunch and dance.

Regionals winners from Pleasant Valley High School are as follows:

• Attaining first place were: Abigail Bush, Hospitality Management; Haley Parks, FBLA Principles and Procedures; Darion Porter, Business Ethics; Meagan Quinn, Economics; Alex Raughley, Business Ethics; Ashlyn Rueda, Business Ethics; Nate Sanders, Sports Management; Joshua Weinebaum, Introduction to Technology Concepts; and Anthony Zarzycki, Introduction to Business Communication.

• Second place winners were: Dan Blazier, Introduction to Technology Concepts; Thomas Byrne, Economics; Nicole Choulijan, Business Communication; Heather Ianuale, FBLA Principles and Procedures; Diane Klapatch, Business Calculations; Ashe Prawl, Technology Concepts; Anthony Reyes, Word Processing II; Kayla Wolf, Introduction Business; and Ashley Woodling, Business Math.

• Third place winners were: Aubrey Aldinger, Introduction to Business Communication: Brandon Burger, Health Care Administration; Kevork Choulijan, Personal Finance; Danielle DiLeone, Computer Applications; Robert Facella, Economics; Patrick Jurczyk, Business Communication; Malyn Maloney, FBLA Principles and Procedures; and Krushef Sanchez, Business Math.

Fourth place winners were: Kiki Adams, Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure; Andrea Nale, Business Math; Duncan Rodriguez, Health Care Administration; and Anthony Ruiz, Business Law.
