A recent graduate of Pleasant Valley High School died of injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident on Wednesday.

State police at Fern Ridge identified the victim as Frankie Chester Lewoc, 18, of Gilbert.

Lewoc was the operator of a vehicle which crashed about 1:17 p.m. along Astolat Road, a mile west of SR115, in Chestnuthill Township. He was flown from the scene by Pennstar helicopter to St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, where he died, troopers said.

Two passengers with him were flown by Medevac helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

They were identified as Joseph Michael Marino, 18, of Effort, and Zachery Russell Hineline, 18, of Saylorsburg. Both are listed in stable condition.

According to troopers Lewoc was traveling westbound when his vehicle left the road and entered the north berm. Lewoc over-compenstated, troopers said, and the vehicle then entered the eastbound lane.

Lewoc attempted to correct the vehicle's travel lane and it began to slide west and entered the south berm.

The vehicle then struck a tree which caused it to turn clockwise at a 45-degree angle. It then struck a stone foundation of a barn with the driver's side front causing severe damages.
