Tools are stolen in Schuylkill case

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating the theft of $1,165 worth of tools from a residence in Tower City.

Police said the victim is Shannon M. Sweigert, 45, of Fourth Street.

He told police someone entered an unlocked Kia Sorrento and utilized the automatic garage door opener to access a shed on the property and proceeded to steal several sets of Craftsman standard and metric wrenches, Dewalt and Craftsman drill bit sets and the following Craftsman air tools: a die grinder, three-eighth-inch drive ratchet and a one-inch impact gun. Also taken were Craftsman rubber mallets, two sets of ratchet wrenches, GearWrenches, a Bosch 12-volt screw gun and an assortment of pliers.
