Break-ins probed

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating two burglaries that occurred at two locations in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said the home of Joseph Steven Hovan, 1921 Donalds Rd., was entered sometime between 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, and Monday at 6 a.m. Entry was made through an unlocked rear window of the home.

Removed were several items, troopers said.

The second entry occurred at the residence of Clifton Edward Hubbard Jr., of 72 Hawks Terrace, sometime between Nov. 5 and Sunday, Feb. 26. Entry was made through a crawl space in the home.

Removed was copper piping from an outside spigot to the water heater.
