East Brunswick $1,000 reward for agricultural vandals

Both the Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers and state police at Frackville are asking for the public's assistance in finding the person(s) who were responsible for vandalism and damage to more than 600 trees at the DPS Tree Farm located at 513 W. Pheasant Run Road in East Brunswick Township, just outside New Ringgold, sometime between Feb. 1 and Feb. 22. Police reported that someone damaged 639 trees growing in a field by running them over with a large ATV or smaller truck. The trees, which had a total value of $43,592, would have had an estimated harvest value of $107,544. Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information on the person(s) responsible for causing this damage, as well as any other unsolved crime in Schuylkill County. Callers are asked to refer to incident 02-26-12 when calling with information about agricultural vandalism incident in East Brunswick Township. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers, toll-free, at 877-TIPS4SC (877-847-7472) or state police at Frackville directly at 570-874-5300.
