No injuries were reported in a three-car accident that occurred early Thursday afternoon in Palmerton.

Palmerton Police said Kristine Islas, 38, of Palmerton, was traveling east on Delaware Avenue at around 12:13 p.m. when she failed to stop her 2010 Chevrolet for a steady red light at Fifth and Delaware Avenue, and struck a 1998 Isuzu operated by Ann Martz, 40, of Palmerton, who was traveling south across Fifth Street.

After that collision, Martz's vehicle collided with a 1998 Nissan Sentra operated by Yarelie Batista, 21, of Palmerton, who was waiting on S. Fifth Street to make a left-hand turn onto Delaware Avenue.

Islas will be cited for failure to stop at traffic light, police said.

Assisting police were the Palmerton Fire Department and Palmerton Community Ambulance.
