The 80's music wave was brought back to our area once again, as Rubix Kube performed in front of stoked crowd during their Friday appearance at Penn's Peak.

Totally decked out in their 80's rock star attire, Scott Lovelady and Cherie Martorana lead the band, along with Daved Z., Eric Presti, Drew Mortali, Sky, John LaSpina and Michael Maenza.

This band took 80's fans back to the time of mini skirts, leg warmers and valley girls. The audience busted a move while Rubix Kube performed pop and rock hits from the 80's. Rubix Kube, a New York-based 80's tribute band, wore 80's rock band attire, while audience members donned similiar attire in hopes of winning the 80's clothing contest.

This was the fourth appearance at Penn's Peak for Rubix Kube. Fans also enjoyed music by Bayside Tigers, who served as the opening band.

The audience at The Peak went along for the totally awesome ride, with many wearing '80's inspired outfits. There was also a contest for the best '80's costumes. The band is fronted by vocalists Cherie Martorana and Scott Lovelady, who take turns switching into costumes of '80's icons such as Madonna and Michael Jackson. The group augment their presentation with videos of the era as well as other appropriate props, such as red balloons for the 99 mentioned in the Nena song title.

Martorana changed into full wedding dress regalia for Madonna's "Like a Virgin," while Toni Basil's changed into his trademark cheerleading outfit for the hit "Mickey." Lovelady showcased his moonwalk moves on Michael Jackson's signature "Billy Jean." Martorana told the crowd that it can request songs for the next time by longing onto Rubix Kube's Facebook page, at least two weeks prior to an upcoming show.
