Man charged with violating PFA order

A Luzerne County man has been charged with violating a protection from abuse (PFA) order.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Michele Mattioli-Kulick, 56, of Bear Creek Township, reported that on Tuesday, Feb. 14, about 7:54 pm. she was visiting family along Long Pond Road, in Long Pond, when her husband, Robert Kulic, 63, of Bear Creek Township, called the home multiple times. He then began sending text messages to her which put her and her two children in fear. The contact by Kulic with his wife was a violation of a PFA order issued by the Luzerne County court.

Kulic was taken into custody, with the assistance of Plains Township police in Luzerne County, and placed in the Monroe County prison in Snydersville pending arraignment.
