Two of three injured in two-vehicle Lehigh Twp. crash from Jim Thorpe

Three persons, including two from Jim Thorpe, were injured in a two-vehicle crash about 3 p.m. on Tuesday in Lehigh Township, Northampton County.
Township police said the crash occurred along Blue Mountain Drive, just south of the Summit Lodge of the Blue Mountain Ski Resort. Police said Tyrone Johnson, 37, of Northampton, was operating a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro southbound when he crossed over into the northbound lane and collided with a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee, operated by Gregory Tobin, 55, of Jim Thorpe.
Johnson was taken by ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, where he was admitted in critical condition.
Gregory Tobin was flown by PennStar helicopter to St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, while his passenger, Jeremy Tobin, was taken by ambulance to St. Luke's. Hospital personnel had no condition report for the Tobins.
Police said the investigation into the crash is continuing and said alcohol was a factor. Charges are pending toxicology tests, police added.
