Lehighton MS book swap set for March 30

The 8th Annual Lehighton Community Book Swap will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 30, at the Lehighton Area Middle School.

The Lehighton Area Education Association, Pennsylvania State Education Association and the National Education Association are teaming up for the event. There will also be an opportunity to get a Lehighton Area Memorial Library card.

Any books remaining at 5:30 p.m. will be given away free without exchange. This event is not for collectors.

Students may drop off books with their classroom teachers. They will receive a ticket for the number of books they may take at the swap. Parents and other adults are also welcome to trade books.

People may bring books to trade the day of the swap, or to the middle school from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, and Thursday, March 29.

Admission is free.

There will be food available for purchase from the Parent-Teacher Organization.
