Theft of plastic tank is probed

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of a 300 gallon plastic tank from a Schuylkill County business. Troopers also reported on a criminal mischief incident.

The tank was removed from the the property of Omnova Solutions, located at 95 Hickory Drive, in West Brunswick Township. Troopers said between 1:05 and 1:20 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, a Dodge pickup truck , blue in color, arrived on scene and removed the empty tank, which is white in color with a black cap on top. The tank was located on the west side of the barn.

The pickup truck fled the scene with a green in color Chevrolet Cavalier following behind it. Both vehicles turned left out of the Omnova parking lot onto Hickory Drive. The tank is valued at $1,000, troopers said.

The mischief incident occurred along SR61, south of Coal Mountain Road, in West Brunswick Township. Troopers said a 2011 Freightliner Cascadia with Great Dane trailer was being driven southbound when unknown persons threw two rocks at the vehicle causing damages to the passenger side of the cab and trailer. The rig is owned by National Freight Inc., of Vineland, N.J. No one was reported injured.
