Teen arrested for weapon at school

A teen was arrested for having a weapon on school property. State police at Fern Ridge said the incident occurred in a parking lot at the Pleasant Valley High School along SR209 in Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. The incident occurred about 4 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, troopers said.

Troopers said James Michael Miller III, 18, no address given, was found to have in his possession a nine-folding pocket kinfe in his right front pocket. The black handle of the knife was partially exposed and visible to the eye.

When confronted, Miller admitted having the knife and turned it over to troopers.

Miller was charged with weapons on school property, prohibited offensive weapons and disorderly conduct.
