Two teens arrested for theft incidents
State police at Lehighton reported the arrest of two teens from New Jersey in connection with theft incidents at a Carbon County ski resort. The thefts occurred at the Blue Mountain Ski Area in Lower Towamensing Township.
Troopers said a 17-year-old male from Bridgetown, N.J., and a 16-year-old male from Greenwich were arrested in connection with two theft incidents.
The 17-year-old was charged for a Jan. 22 incident when he was found in possession of a stolen set of skis. The skis were valued at $350. The skis are the property of Jared Andrew Parker, of Nazareth.
The same teen and the 16-year-old, were found in possession of four stolen snowboards and one pair of skis. That incident occurred on Jan. 15. The total value of the missing items was set at $2,595.
The victims of the thefts were Michael Joseph Orlanda, of Lake Grove, N.Y.; Kim H. Suk, Sicklersville, N.J.; Shane Lewis Zehnbauer, Easton; Hunter Carelton Lindblade, Kennett Square; and John Joseph Meagher, West Deptford, N.J.
Troopers said the two teens will be charged through the county juvenile probation office.
