Second Annual Family Promise Variety Show and Fundraiser will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Mauch Chunk Cultural Center. This year's production will feature the musical talents of the duo "Rags 2 Riches" featuring bass-baritone Randy Shupp and pianist Don Kawash with selections from "The Entertainer", Irving Berlin and George Gershwin. The award winning works of visiting artist Ibi Arno, first place winner of the prestigious United Nations International Art Competition, will be on display. Mr. Arno's art has exhibited at the Harvard Business School, the Indianapolis Art Center, the Martin Luther King Art Center, and the United Nations headquarters to name just a few. Among those returning for a second year are local artists Helen Torok and David Westrip who will perform and accompany on the piano. Advance tickets are on sale at local churches or reservations can be made by calling 570-325-4436. Shuttle bus service will be provided from the Jim Thorpe Visitor's Center parking lot.
