Alcohol suspected in Monroe crash

Alcohol impaired driving is suspected in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 6:12 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5, along SR115, south of Long Pond Road, in Tunkhannock Township, Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said a 2010 Mercedes-Benz C300 left the road and struck a tree. The driver was identified as Emmanuel Rivera, 35, of Kunkletown. He sustained moderate injuries and was transported to the Geisinger Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Police said the investigation into the crash is continuing and alcohol impaired driving is suspected.
