Rebecca Bailey, a representative of both the Carbon County Friends of Animals for cats and the K-9 Shelter for dogs, picked up pet-related items collected by the students of Saint Joseph Regional Academy (SJRA) in Jim Thorpe as part of the celebration of Catholic Schools Week. SJRA Principal Melissa Novatnack said that the students do a major donation every year to give back to the community. Rebecca was accompanied by two Black Labs that were adopted through the K-9 Shelter. Pictured during the pickup are, from left : Rebecca Bailey with "Tasha" and "Trouble"; and kneeling, Michael Carroll, and Lily Kelly; and standing with Principal Novatnack, Seth Paluck, and Trent Young.
