Published February 02. 2012 05:02PM

A traffic stop in McAdoo on Jan. 7 resulted in driving under the influence (DUI) charges being filed against a Hazleton man.

Patrolman James Patterson stopped a vehicle at 3:10 a.m. after the driver failed to stop for a red traffic signal. The officer identified the driver as Paul Daniel Swinesburg Jr., 28, of 948 N. James St., McAdoo, and noted signs of intoxication. A test determined that Swinesburg's blood alcohol content was .12 percent, more than the .08 state mandated limit.

Charges included DUI of alcohol as well as failure to obey a red light.
