A Gouldsboro, Wayne County, man was lodged in the Schuylkill County prison on Jan. 20 following his extradition from Florida.

He is wanted on a warrant filed for charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child.

Clark Emmanuel Mead Jr., 28, allegedly sexually assaulted two young boys on various dates between August 2005 and June 2006. Mead was living with a woman in McAdoo at the time of the alleged incidents.

McAdoo Police learned of the incidents from a case worker with Schuylkill County Children and Youth on Sept. 9, 2011. Interviews were conducted with two boys, who were ages 5 and 4 at the time of the attacks.

Both boys related that Mead forced them to "do very bad things with their private parts."

The victims recounted the incidents occurred when their mother was at work and Mead allegedly threatened both if they ever told anyone what he was doing.

An arrest warrant was issued Dec. 21, 2011, by District Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, but officers were told Mead had moved to Florida to live with his mother. Lee County police, in Florida, apprehended Mead on Dec. 30, 2011.

The investigating officer is Patrolman Robert Minnich.

Mead was arraigned Jan. 20 and the judge set bail at $100,000 straight cash.
