Petitions can be signed at office

Published February 01. 2012 05:03PM

Election season is in full swing and your GOP candidates can use your help, said MaryEllen Salerno, chairperson of the Carbon County Republican Club.

Pennsylvania law requires that anyone running for office, obtain valid signatures through the petition process. The Carbon County GOP has petitions for presidential candidates, United States Senate candidates, congressional candidates, and state representative candidates.

She said if you are a registered Republican, "we ask you to come out and support those who want to represent you and make a difference in Carbon County, Pennsylvania, and the United States of America."

If you are not a registered Republican, we want to remind you the importance of the 2012 election, she said.

If you would like to update your voter registration, stop by our office and personnel there can help you!

The Carbon County GOP office is located at 198 S. First St., Lehighton. Office hours will be Friday, February 3, 1-7 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
