Tremont man ejected from car

Published December 28. 2012 05:04PM

Erik T. Ossman, 23, of Tremont, sustained moderate injuries when he was ejected from a car that crashed at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 25 on State Route 209 in Porter Township.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said he was flown in the MedEvac helicopter to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after the crash.

Police said he was driving a 2004 Saturn Ion southbound and was rounding a left curve in the roadway when the vehicle began to spin counter-clockwise into the north bound lane. The car spun about 90 degrees before leaving the roadway off the east berm and went down an embankment and rolled over before striking a tree with its passenger's side. The car then spun 180 degrees and came to rest facing south in a small wooded area off the road.
