Published December 26. 2012 05:02PM

Two vehicles were damaged in a mishap at 6:48 p.m. Dec. 23 on State Rt. 209 in Polk Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said the crash resulted in the arrest of John Joseph Eger, 58, of Kunkletown, for driving under the influence.

Police said Eger was driving north on Rt. 209 near the West End Beverage Party Store when he failed to yield to a vehicle driven by Gregory J. May, 24, of Saylorsburg, who was southbound and making a left turn into the business lot. Police said Eger's vehicle struck the passenger's side of the May vehicle, after which time police said it was determined he was driving under the influence.

No one was injured in the crash.
