Pink Night raises money for Komen NEPA
SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS
The Jim Thorpe cheerleaders, flags, and majorettes combined efforts for a Pink Night fundraiser during one of this season's football games. The girls sold pink slips of paper for $1 for the two weeks leading up to the game. They linked the slips of paper together to make a chain around the field. The girls also had a bake sale at the game. The three squads raised $916. Last Thursday, Lauren Zurn, representing the cheerleaders, and Rebecca Osbourne, representing the flags, presented the check to Dolly Woody of the Komen NEPA.
