New Columbus Fire Companypurchases battery operated Jaws

Members of the New Columbus Fire Company stand around the $12,000 battery operated combination Jaws of Life. The tool not only serves as a cutter but is a spreader as well. It can operate for 15 minutes of continuous use. It can take two and one half minutes to cut a door off of a disabled vehicle. The fire company is the only one in the immediate area who now carries a battery operated Jaws of Life. Seen are Mike Hrebik, Tyler Schlier, Jim Nardozzi (fire chief), Joe Folk, Rich Staneck, and Josh Jacobs. The New Columbus Fire Company plans to purchase a Rhino glass cutter to add to their equipment to fight fires or accidents.
