December 14, 1962 Ronnie Hydro's basket with two seconds left to play lifts Jim Thorpe to a 66-64 win over Lehighton. With his team trailing by one point, Hydro makes the first of two free throws to tie the game. He misses the second, but grabs the rebound and converts for the game-winner. Hydro finishes the contest with a game-high 19 points while George Armbruster finishes with 18. The Olympians, coached by Kenny Kline, also receive 12 points from Larry Morris and nine from Jack Kmetz.
