A one vehicle crash involving a Mack tanker truck occurred about 11:50 a.m. Thursday along SR443 in West Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County. State police at Schuylkill Haven said John M. Harty, 54, of Gordon, was eastbound and approaching the intersection with New Philadelphia Road. Harty attempted to turn onto New Philadelphia Road and the truck began to tip over and it rolled onto its roof. The truck was carrying ammonium nitrate (oxidizer) in its tank at the time. Another truck from the same firm arrived on scene to clean up the spillage. Harty was not injured. The truck had to be towed from the scene. Troopers cited Harty for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.
