Injuries in Schuylkill crash
Injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash that occurred about 6:50 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, along SR61 at Manheim Road, in North Manheim Township, Schuylkill County. It was one of two crashes reported by state police at Schuylkill Haven.

Troopers said Schwartz attempted to make a left turn onto Manheim Road and pulled into the path of Koch. The front of the Jetta hit the passenger side of the Saturn. After impact the Saturn traveled into the parking lot of a Sheetz service station. The Saturn then struck a guide rail in the lot. Troopers said both drivers had a green light at the intersection. A passenger with Schwartz, William E. Weikel, 40, of Pottsville, sustained a major injury, troopers said, and was taken to a Pottsville area hospital. Schwartz and Koch each sustained minor injuries. Troopers cited Scwartz for careless driving.
