Incident at youth camp probed

State police at Lehighton reported responding to a youth camp in Carbon County resulting in several arrests.

The incident occurred at Camp Adams Youth Services facility in Penn Forest Township, Jim Thorpe, about 9:21 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30.

During a scuffle between several clients at the camp, James Oliver, 26, no listed address other than Carbon County, was allegedly punched and kicked several times in the head and upper torso area by Michael Joseph Head, 18, of Philadelphia.

Head was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. He was lodged in the county prison in Nesquehoning, troopers said.

Troopers added that several other clients involved in the scuffle were cited for harassment.
