Car misses post office, drives over embankment

A male driver from Bath avoided serious injury after crashing his car over an enbankment in Barnesville just before midnight Saturday. The driver could be seen stumbling around as officers gave him a field sobriety test. Ryan Township police officers pointed out that the driver was traveling east on SR54 when he overshot the turn located just past the railroad tracks near the intersection of Grier Avenue. He side swiped a large stone in front of the Barnesville Post Office before losing control and traveling over an enbankment located on the westbound side of SR54. Also responding were Rush Township police and Hometown Fire Company. The man was taken to the hospital for bloodwork. No more information was available as of press time.
