Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Curvey of Tamaqua will celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary on Sept. 2. They were married in Trinity Reformed Church, Tamaqua, by the late Rev. John Kleinginna.

Mrs. Curvey is the former Evelyn Betz, daughter of the late John C. and Bertha Betz and was formerly employed part time in the garment industry and the former Atlas Powder Company.Mr. Curvey is the son of the late Jacob and Mabel Curvey. He retired from the former Atlas Powder Company after being employed there for 43 years.The couple has four children, Larry, James, Jon and Diane Chicanavage; ten grandchildren, Danielle, Jennifer, Heather, Samantha, Matthew, Jon Alan, Brianne, Lacey, Dannielle and Kyle; and two great granddaughters, Sierra and Ava.The Curveys are active members of Trinity United Church of Christ, Tamaqua.
