Schuylkill incident being probed

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a incident that occurred in Schuylkill County in which someone threw a rock at a moving vehicle. Troopers said the incident occurred about 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, along SR209, just north of S. Coal St., in Port Carbon.

According to police Julie A. Legutko, 64, of Port Carbon, was driving a Chevrolet Impala at the above location when someone threw a rock from a wooded area striking the car. The rock caused a fist-like sized hole in the windshield.

In the vehicle with Legutko was her son and grandson. No one was injured. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 593-2000.
