PennDOT crewmen and supervisory personnel dispatched from the Lehighton maintenance division have begun construction of a truck "pull-off" safety lane on the Broad Mountain in Nesquehoning. Site preparation got underway along Route 93. According to George B. Stewart of Summit Hill, a PennDOT inspector who is the coordinator assigned to the project, completion of the safety lane is expected in about three weeks, weather permitting.
