Slatington teen facing drug count

A 15-year-old Slatington teen is facing drug counts following an incident that occurred about 8:39 p.m. on Aug. 16 in the area of 3075 Weidasville Rd., in Lowhill Township.

State police at Fogelsville said troopers responded to the above location for a report of a male lying on the ground and possibly intoxicated. On scene the troopers found a vehicle with four juveniles.

After questioning the juveniles there was a clear plastic bag containing marijuana on the floor on the vehicle in plain view.

The juveniles then consented to search the vehicle and found was drug paraphernalia. Troopers said the Slatington teen took full responsibility for the drugs and paraphernalia found. He was charged and later turned over to the custody of his parents.
