Carbon business cited by PLCB

A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

The Batter's Box Sports Bar & Grille Inc., of 10 E. Lehigh St., Summit Hill, was cited for operating in a noisy and/or disorderly manner. The board said the alleged offenses occurred on the following dates: Feb. 4, 5 and 26; March 16, 17, and 31; April 1, 15, and 29; May 5, 6, 12, 13, 18, 19, 25, 27, and 28; June 30; and July 1.

The charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of license based on the severity of the charge brought.
