Heritage Hill residents and friends showcase autumn attire

You're never too old to be a model.

Heritage Hill Senior Community residents proved that as they strutted their stuff recently on the "catwalk" in the dining hall of the center in Weatherly during the first annual Fall Into Fashion Show.Fifteen models, from ages 5 to 95, participated in the show, modeling fall outfits that are available at JCPenney. The public, including family members, Red Hat Societies, and friends filled the seats to cheer on the participants.Lisa Marie Halecky, marketing/admissions director for Heritage Hill, was the announcer, providing information about each outfit, including styles, colors, and prices. She said that the residents, as well as the staff were excited for the event because it was something different and fun for all ages."It's all about having fun and embracing life," Halecky said.Following the show, the models mingled with friends and light refreshments were served.Upcoming events at Heritage Hill include National Assisted Living Week Sept. 9-15; Becoming an Alzheimer's Whisper with Dr. Verna Benner Carson on Sept. 20; and the 12th annual Alzheimer's Disease Memory Walk on Oct. 6.For more information, call Heritage Hill at (570) 427-4500.
