Cressona Band presents a free concert at Lewistown Valley venue

Members of the Cressona Band held a free concert Sunday evening at the Heisler's Dairy Bar in Tamaqua.

The band routinely provides free concerts at various local venues.

"Dark clouds were threatening at the end, but all was fine and we only had a few sprinkles of rain," said volunteer Beth Cerullo, Pottsville.

The Cressona Band is a community band with members of all ages and from all walks of life that come from across Schuylkill County and the surrounding areas. The play at concerts and parades throughout the year.

The band's music includes many marches and patriotic songs, classical music, overtures, show tunes and contemporary band music. Cerullo also stressed the band's appreciation to the event sponsor, spectators and Heisler's Dairy Bar.
