Volunteers held their 4th annual Dudefest event recently at the West Penn Rod and Gun Club. The event, held in memory of Cory McCarroll, who took his own life in 2009, consisted of music, activities, prizes and homemade foods to raise donations for the Schuylkill County Suicide Prevention Task Force and other local programs. Key organizer Tara Stauffenberg stated her appreciation to all who donated, volunteered or helped, to include the numerous bands and local businesses.
