Three injured in Carbon crash

Published August 22. 2012 05:02PM

Three persons were injured in a two vehicle crash in Carbon County. State police at Hazleton said the crash occurred at the intersection of Lehigh Gorge Drive and Buck Mountain Road, in Lehigh Township, on Tuesday morning.

Troopers said Karl Wagner, of Weatherly, driving a 2008 Ford Focus, attempted to make a left hand turn from Lehigh Gorge onto Buck Mountain, when he cut in front of a 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Francis Miller, of White Haven.

Miller's truck struck Wagner' car forcing both vehicles into a porch of a home owned by Cassandra Houser, of 10 S. Lehigh Gorge Drive.

Wagner and two passengers, Linda Wagner and Beatrice Wagner, were taken to Geisinger Wyoming Medical Center, Plaines Township, Luzerne County, and admitted. Miller was not injured.

It was noted a crash occurred at the same location on Monday night in which a vehicle struck Houser's porch.
